More than 38,000 children were killed in the US nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 80 years ago. This Memorial is dedicated to all the children killed, including those whose names may forever remain unknown. It features 429 of their profiles to remind the world of the horrific impacts of nuclear weapons.
The Children’s Peace Memorial was established in 2025 by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) to commemorate the 80th anniversaries of the US nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
