As a partner, The LEAD (Lead Education and Abatement Design) Group Inc is committed to protecting children from the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation.
As part of their contribution to the Children’s Environmental Health Collaborative and the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future, they commit to the following activities:
- Advocate for prioritizing children’s environmental health in relation to lead poisoning prevention and management and lead-safety’s pivotal role in climate crisis avoidance, in key international forums, including through joint co-branded communication and advocacy products, when feasible.
- Contribute research on the specific impacts of climate change and environmental lead pollution and other fossil fuel emissions on children’s and adult’s health and sharing guidance, tools and best-practices to protect children and adults from these impacts.
- Provide technical assistance, expertise and technical resources and children’s art competition opportunities (via www.volcanoartprize.com) on children’s environmental health particularly in relation to lead poisoning prevention and management, including reduced use of fossil fuels (which all contain some lead).
- Participate in joint convenings and promote coherent approaches to protecting children’s environmental health and avoiding a climate crisis.
